Public works employees are responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of town property.  Some of the things you will see these employees doing are caring for the park, street maintenence, snow removal, facilities maintenance, street and alley repair, vehicle maintenance, water meter reading, water and sewer line inspection and maintenance, and assisting in operations at the waste water plant. 

 

The department is headed by the Public Works Director, Brett Bloom.  Brett was hired in March 2010. He has extensive experience in all facets of Public Works and is a Certified Diesel Technician.  Brett was previously employed as the Fleet Manager for the Town of Windsor for many years before operating his own mechanic business for several years.  

 

Hired in May 2008, maintenance workman Bobby Hernandez has previous municipal experience with the Town of Milliken. 

 

Public Works Foreman Cody Meeker was hired in November 2010.  This is Cody's first job in municipal government, but comes to us with extensive experince in maintnance, construction, and heavy equipment operation.

 

In April, the board approved the hiring of another maintenance worker and David Profitt was hired.  This is his first job in municipal government.
